Salary: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 AnnuallyLocation : Cedar City, UTJob Type: Full-time StaffJob Number: 202400028Division: Advancement & Enrollment ManagementDepartment: Advancement & Enrollment ManagementOpening Date: 12/17/2024FLSA: Non-Exempt Position Summary The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing both paid digital campaigns and organic marketing efforts to enhance the online presence and performance of the department. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, content creation, analytics, and collaboration with internal teams. Essential FunctionsOrganic Marketing Management:
  • Plan and create high-quality, informative, and engaging content to attract visitors, drive traffic, and build domain authority.
  • Conduct keyword research to identify high-value keywords for SEO and content marketing.
  • Work with SUU's Web Services and Marketing Communication office to optimize on-page and off-page SEO to enhance website rankings and visibility.
  • Monitor and report on performance, including rankings, organic traffic, and engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with the content team to create and optimize high-quality, SEO-focused content.
Paid Digital Campaigns Management:
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Meta (Facebook, Instagram), LinkedIn, social media channels, and display networks.
  • Manage budgets effectively to maximize ROI and achieve campaign goals. -Analyze campaign performance data to identify opportunities for optimization and A/B testing.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create compelling ad creatives and landing pages.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor and report on digital marketing performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure strategies are current and effective.
Departmental Web Liaison:
  • Oversee the publication and updates of content for Graduate & Online departmental web pages and landing pages through Cascade CMS, ensuring it is accurate, consistent, and optimized for search engines, accessibility and user engagement.
  • Work closely with SUU's Web Services team, Marketing Communication office, content creators, and designers, to coordinate content updates and improvements on the site.
  • Work together with marketing team members to mutually support marketing efforts of each other, creating cohesive messaging.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to continue building a skillset to strengthen job performance and support career aspirations.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education & ExperienceMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills & Experience):
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on organic and paid digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Business Manager, SEO tools).
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, and website optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and project development skills.
Preferred Qualifications (If any)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of content management systems (Cascade), and HTML/CSS is a plus -Certifications such as Google Ads certification, Meta Ads certification, SEO/SEM certifications are a plus.
