JobSummary: We areseeking a dependable and dedicated dining room captain to join our team. Theideal candidate will have a passion for working with the senior population andpossess excellent customer service skills. This role involves overseeing the dailydining room and caf staff. Scheduling of dining room staff to assure a highstandard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness ofthe dining room areas. KeyResponsibilities: •Trains, supervises, assigns, and directs dining roomand caf staff. •Schedules dining room and caf staff. •Greats and seats residents and guests, always with afocus on excellence and service to residents. •Receives and resolves complaints concerning diningroom service in a positive, resolution friendly manner. •Directs daily line-up with dining room staff. •Maintains inventory of dining room supplies andreports needs to Culinary Director. •Trains staff on the POS system. •Monitors safe and orderly storage of all dining roomequipment, glassware, and silverware. •Captains are expected to take tables as needed. •Attends weekly meetings to discuss events andsetups. •Oversees setup, service, and reset of all diningroom functions. •Creates teamwork and a functional workingenvironment that is fun, safe and productive. •Follows proper protocol at all times. •Duties are subject to change based on the directionof the Culinary Director. Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum 2-3 years of dining management experience
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and flexible hours
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Ability to train and counsel staff members in a productive/constructive manner
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills with a patient and kind demeanor
  • Successful background check
  • Pre-employment physical and drug test
WorkSchedule:
  • FullTime
  • 5days per week. Additional hours asneeded to cover staffing
