This entails; accurate communication and order taking, properly relaying meal orders to back of the house staff. POSITION OVERVIEW
- Be present in dining room for full meal service.
- Assist special functions as scheduled.
- Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times.
- Oversight of bistro areas as directed - food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc.
- Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
- Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
- Must serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
- As directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee.
- Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
- Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstration of our Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
- Experience: Previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred, but not required.
- Job Knowledge: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Standards: Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection and control, health department, and OSHA.
