Direct Support Personnel (Lincoln Program) - CCAR Industries : Job Details

CCAR Industries is searching for a full-time direct support person to work at one of our day program sites. Direct support personnel (DSPs) support individuals with developmental disabilities as they engage in organized activities and enjoy leisure time. The DSP will transport individuals home fromthe day program in an agency-owned van in the mornings and afternoons. In addition, they work as a team to plan recreational activities in the community. SCHEDULEThis is a permanent full-time, daytime position on Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (40 hours/week) with weekends and major holidays off.REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be 18 years old
• Must pass a criminal background check, as required by the Healthcare Worker Background Check Act (225 ILCS 46).
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a direct support role is preferred, but related caregiving experience will be considered.
• Must be able to work independently or as a team
• Demonstrate timeliness and accuracy in documentation

WAGESThis position starts at $15.75/hour with a $0.50 increase when training is complete. If the individual completes medication administration training, they will receive an additional $0.25/hour when working at a location where they are approved to pass medications.BENEFITS
