Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) are expected to demonstrate a desire to create lasting positive impacts on people's lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to celebrate their achieved outcomes. Essential Job Functions:
  • Support participants by assisting with daily living activities to male and female participants, maintaining health and personal hygiene (i.e., continence care, dressing, eating, transferring participants, etc.).
  • Uphold the rights, dignity and respect of all persons served as well as promote independence and self- advocacy skills. Teach new hard and soft skills in a variety of settings
  • Responsible for transporting participants to and from the Adult Day Services via large transportation vans/ shuttle buses
Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license with proof of insurance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift, bend, push and pull up to 50 pounds, push up to 200 pounds (wheelchair)
  • Ables to pass a background check, drug screen, and health screen
