Adult Training Facility Direct Support Professionals will work with individuals with mental and/or physical disabilities. The employee is responsible for facilitating or assisting with various activities related to social, cognitive, recreational, vocational, and behavioral experiences for individuals that are enrolled in our Adult Training Facility. The focus of the role is to provide each individual with training via their individual needs outlined in their Individual Support Plan (ISP) and in conjunction with ODP, OLTL, Department of Public Welfare (DPW) regulations and PathWays' Policies & Procedures. Some Essential Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for supervision of all individuals present at the ATF or on outings according to established ratios and supervision levels.
  • Implement positive approaches and training on a consistent basis. Promote strengths and what individuals can do.
  • Maintain direct responsibility of a specific caseload, in addition to other individuals as assigned, for instruction and documentation.
  • Model desired behavior throughout the day with individuals.
  • Provide active treatment and interaction with individuals throughout the day.
  • Perform thorough assessments on specific individuals and develop strengths, needs, likes, dislikes, and recommendations for goal plans.
  • Select appropriate programmed environment curriculum and instructional materials for all individuals to be actively learning and participating
  • Transport individuals safely in compliance with all PathWays' safe driving policies and procedures and state law
  • Observe individuals' behavior and physical health status and report all anomalies to the program specialist or supervisor as appropriate and through various reports.

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED), strongly preferred
  • One year of direct care or human services experience, preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license. Must maintain driver's license during employment.
