Integrated Life Choices (ILC) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). DSPs at ILC provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP, you will work with individuals to support them in achieving their hopes and dreams.
ILC supports people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week which allows us to offer a variety of schedule options to our team members.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is passionate about supporting human beings in achieving their hopes and dreams. As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift. Duties may include:
* Supporting people in understanding and exercising their rights
* Encouraging people to live a fulfilling life as independently as possible through self-advocacy
* Providing the best person-centered supports to meet people's needs throughout their lives
* Supporting and encouraging positive interactions
* Improving social connections and relationships
* Providing transportation for those you are supporting
* Teaching skills to improve a person's life
* Supporting and encouraging participation in groups or organizations in line with a person's personal interests to meet recreational and social needs
* Utilizing Positive Support Programs to guide daily interactions
* Supporting a person with personal hygiene and medical-related needs, including medication administration
* Providing documentation at the end of each shift
Vocational: Monday through Fridays during the Day
Residential: Evenings, Weekends, and Overnights
DSPs who work at ILC residential and vocational locations support individuals with planned activities that encourage community inclusion, habilitation, and activities of daily living.
Supported Services: Days, Evenings, Weekends
As a DSP with ILC working in Supported Services, you will be supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at their jobs, in the community, and in their homes. The job coaching component of this position focuses on supporting people in seeking and maintaining competitive employment, while in-home support can be a variety of day-to-day activities in the home and out in the community.
Hiring Rates
* Vocational (Days): $15.00
* Residential (Evenings, Overnights, Weekends): $16.50 ($12 per hour for asleep hours)
* Supported Services: $16.00

Requirements
Working Conditions:
This work can be physically demanding in some situations. Some physical work examples could be but are not limited to:
* Intervening in aggressive situation and/or physically demanding responsibilities
* Support with lifting individuals to and from wheelchairs
* Supporting a person to and from a shower
* Using a gait belt in a safe and dignified way
An essential function of the DSP role is providing transportation. ILC requires all DSPs to have a reliable vehicle at every shift.
Education/Experience:
* High School diploma or GED
Successfully complete and pass all checks including:
* Nebraska Adult Protective Services Central Registry
* Child Protective Services Central Registry
* Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Background Check
Certificates and Licenses:
* Valid driver's license
