As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others.Responsibilities:- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming- Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines- Provide direct support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding- Engage individuals in recreational and social activities- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals- Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist individuals with mobility- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to ensure individual needs are metQualifications:- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus- Ability to provide direct support and care in a compassionate manner- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team- Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individuals with disabilities- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periodsNote: Prior experience in nursing homes, childcare, or assisted living facilities can be transferable skills for this position.We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career growth within our organization.
