Position Title: Direct Support Provider Location: Alexandria, MN Hiring Compensation : Starting wage $16.75 depending upon qualifications.Shifts: Scenicwood has 4 Part time positions available. Shifts include days, evenings, support night and every other weekend. About the job : As a Direct SupportProvider, you will provide training and assistance to people that includes, butnot limited to, daily personal cares, medication administration, communityactivities, money management, meal preparation, laundry assistance, and leisureactivities. Essential job responsibilities include:
  • Monitor and assist people with personal cares
  • Instruct and assist people in food preparation,clean-up, and sanitary practices
  • Encourage grooming and dress according to theperson's preferences, cultural considerations and social norms
  • Administer medications and treatments oncetrained
  • Communicate concerns, suggestions, potentialproblems to supervisors in an accurate, prompt, and respectful manner
  • Chart daily program information
  • Complete cleaning and assist persons served incleaning tasks
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be 17 years of age or as dictated bylicensure
  • Must pass DHS background clearance
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend andcommunicate in English
