We currently have a career opportunity for a Director as part of our Alternative Risk Transfer team.

As part of an industry-leading team, this individual will work in collaboration with Aon colleagues to deliver innovative alternative risk solutions to address emerging needs of our clients. To implement this role, this individual will need leading creative problem-solving skills, technical broking competence, and strong communication and organizational skills needed to work closely with a wide variety clients and Aon partners to deliver growth of innovative alternative risk solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Business or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of broking, account management, insurance experience or other transferrable experience.
  • Interest in alternative risk transfer solutions such parametric insurance, multi-year structured programs, multi-line risk transfer, and/or captive aggregate stop loss solutions, or other innovative risk capital solutions
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and comfort with developing technology tools to assist ART team workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to provide insight and recommendations via creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Entrepreneurial approach and willingness to challenge status quo ideas.
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix environment across various functional, business, and geographic leaders while motivating and inspiring others.
Responsibilities

The leader will be responsible for driving execution of the Alternative Risk Transfer strategic initiatives, which will include some combination of the following:

  • Support the marketing, execution, and ongoing client service related to Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) transactions.
  • Engage as part of the team to develop and implement processes to enhance client service and replicate growth.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Risk clients and Aon colleagues to develop new value-generating ideas and alternatives to traditional risk transfer approaches, intended to facilitate client decision making, help navigate volatility, and effectively match capital to risk.
  • Work with account executives and brokers throughout the renewal process to uncover unique but significant challenges that warrant consideration of an alternative risk transfer solutions.
  • In partnership with insurers, other capital providers and Aon colleagues, collaborate on Alternative Risk Transfer solution development, and develop strategies to incubate and bring the solutions to clients.
  • Help drive the execution of Commercial Risk priorities including strategic solutions and innovation, thought leadership, and the adoption of risk analytics and related tools.
  • Assists product innovation, the development of purposeful solutions, and the coordination of strategic risk consulting recommendations.
  • Leads Delivering Aon United processes through the contribution to large RFP project responses.
  • Supports an innovation agenda with other Aon teams (e.g. Affinity and other teams focused on innovation) to find opportunities to develop Aon-specific MGAs and similar aggregation vehicles and concepts.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $157,000 to $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicants geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aons annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
