Kapitus is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence to lead our BI team and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves working very closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, SVP Sales and Director Sales Operations to harness data analytics, reporting, visualization, machine learning and Generative AI to uncover insights and guide strategic business decisions around acquiring and retaining new customers while increasing sales efficiency. The Director of Business Intelligence will play a key role in transforming data into actionable intelligence, ensuring that business units have the information they need to make informed decisions and drive growth. They will also manage the implementation of machine learning models and generative AI use cases to enhance our data capabilities and drive innovation.

Reports to: VP Analytics

Primary Responsibilities:

• Strategic Oversight: Lead the development and execution of BI strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Stakeholder Communication: Lead stakeholder discussions around priorities and impact of insights and analytics. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, delivering clear and impactful insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product, Analytics, and Technology teams to define and achieve BI goals and deliverables based on business objectives.
• Team Leadership: Directly and indirectly lead multiple teams across analytics and data science, fostering a collaborative environment and guiding them in building and scaling their capabilities.
• Business Insight: Provide insights and offer recommendations to drive business performance via data analysis, reporting, model deployment or deployment of generative AI capabilities.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Design and implement comprehensive BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to support various business functions.
• Machine Learning Implementation: Manage the implementation of machine learning models, ensuring they are effectively integrated into business processes to provide actionable insights and drive decision-making.
• Generative AI Use Cases: Oversee the development and deployment of generative AI applications, leveraging advanced AI techniques to generate innovative solutions and enhance business capabilities.
• Process Improvement: Streamline BI processes and enhance BI architecture to improve data accessibility, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Data Governance: Ensure data integrity and governance, including overseeing data quality, consistency, and security.
• Mentorship: Mentor BI and Data Science team members, providing guidance on BI tools, methodologies, and business acumen.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelors in Business, Literature, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 7+ years in business intelligence or data analytics roles, with a strong track record of managing BI projects and teams.
• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of sales and business operations and the ability to translate data into strategic insights and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
• Leadership: Proven experience in managing teams, especially in remote or global settings.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx), SQL, and data visualization techniques. Experience with Python or R is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional Skills: Experience in dealing with Sales and Salesforce based use cases, and advanced analytics techniques.
• Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Technical Experience: Knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, Snowflake and Salesforce.
