Here, you'll be a part of a fast-growing company dedicated to providing a best in class leasing and customer service experience to our residents.The Director of Central Operations will play a pivotal role in executing and overseeing the daily operations of our Utility Management, Recurring Services, Violations, Liens, and Property Registrations. This strategic leadership position requires an individual who excels at designing and managing high volume, systematic service functions that are critical to powering the operations of a leader in the rapidly growing single family rentals industry. Successful candidates will have a passion for process design and optimization, an eye for detail and a proven competency in achieving consistently high performance through a focus on metrics and effective management of internal resources and critical vendor relationships.The position requires someone who craves the challenge of building first-class business functions, takes pride in consistently delivering against deadlines, and champions accuracy and extreme ownership in all aspects of the operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective leadership across departments in the U.S., while managing a diverse team of direct reports in Latin America.Qualifications & Skills:Operational reporting: daily and weekly management of department numbers, achievements and risk exposure. Extreme ownership of follow through and performance improvement.Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement and drive business strategy and initiatives.Team Collaboration: Work intimately with Senior Managers, Managers, and Supervisors in the Central Operations team to align efforts with strategic goals across the organization.Project Oversight: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current projects using internal systems and reporting technology to ensure operational effectiveness.Human Capital Performance Management: Proactively identify performance variances and workflow challenges, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Operational Excellence: Establish and uphold work standards, objectives, and efficient workflows.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage with various stakeholders to execute long-term strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment and support across the organization.Goal Setting: Develop and set goals and KPIs for the team, creating a compelling vision that motivates and inspires a productive work environment.Problem Solving: Analyze problems effectively, evaluating information to generate and assess alternative solutions, making timely recommendations.Continuous Improvement: Foster an ethos of continuous improvement, actively seeking areas for enhancement and positively influencing business decisions.Technology Utilization: Leverage technology to streamline processes and achieve operational goals, enhancing overall efficiency.Customer Service Focus: Anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers, delivering exceptional service that fosters strong relationships.Root Cause Analysis: Employ a root cause mindset to refine processes, using insights gained during analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.Process Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate currently manual processes, driving efficiency.Focus in a Fast Paced Environment: Ability for the agility needed in a fast-paced environment. Daily knowledge of department numbers is required and agility for process improvement and change required.Requirements:Experience: Minimum of 10 years in professional field with management experience preferred. Ideally 5+ in property management or central operations within an institutional real estate management firm.Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in multi- or single-family residential real estate or a related field.Leadership: Previous experience managing international teams is preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; familiarity with Salesforce and Yardi is a plus.Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Teamwork Orientation: Strong interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and collaboration are vital.This role operates primarily in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
