As Director, Capital Markets Process Transformation, you will be a key member of Capital Market's Process Transformation Team, which is accountable for catalyzing the delivery of a highly strategic portfolio of process transformation initiatives directly sponsored by the Operating Group CEO and members of the Executive Leadership Committee.

You will play an active role in facilitating and leading activities that enable the successful delivery of the process transformation portfolio. To execute this high-profile front office mandate, you will be required to engage and influence executives and senior leaders across Capital Markets, Technology & Operations, and other functions within the bank.

What is the opportunity?

  • Capital Market's Process Transformation Team is organized under the Operating Group COO and is a close partner of the Project Management Office.
  • Comprised of a small group of senior front office operators and corporate strategists, the Team serves as business-focused transformation catalysts to the Executive Leadership Committee.
  • The process transformation portfolio is a permanent organizational structure managed by the Team, aiming to re-engineer Capital Market's problematic business processes end-to-end.
  • As a lead front office representative, you will play a business-focused leadership role in managing the portfolio and enabling initiative delivery.

Key job responsibilities include:

Portfolio Management

  • Ensure that the business outcomes of the transformation portfolio align with the intended performance and financial targets.
  • Lead the day-to-day management and coordination activities of the process transformation portfolio, including initiative intake, resource allocation, benefit tracking and prioritization.
  • Proactively keep stakeholders aligned with the strategic priorities of the portfolio and well informed of decisions, process, and progress.
  • Oversee a purpose-fit portfolio governance framework that ensures executive transparency, delivery rigor and strong performance management.
  • Support and actively participate in all leadership committees to enable a culture of accountability, partnership, and effective challenge.

Initiatives Enablement

  • Catalyze an initiative's success through hands-on, targeted support.
  • Lead and/or participate in strategic process reviews from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Document business cases for prospective initiatives, ensuring that problem statements are well developed.
  • Engage project teams to make recommendations on optimal operating models, verify that all business requirements are met, and ensure solutions are sustainable.
  • Bridge knowledge and communication gaps between the front office, technology, and enablement functions to maintain delivery pace.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of recent experience leading teams in a high-intensity environment.
  • Leadership experience transforming and/or running complex operating models.
  • Deep understanding of the wholesale banking model and the risk, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Prior work experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, sales and trading, or corporate strategy is preferred.

The base salary range for this role in New York City is $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 USD.
