Security Engineer / Analyst

Approximately 6 months (may end sooner)

$50 - 60 / hr

The Security Engineer / Analyst will be responsible for leading the primary components of a security initiative, including evaluating solutions, configuring systems, and overseeing ongoing management to ensure secure usage of USB devices within the organization.

The project aims to minimize reliance on USB devices while ensuring secure usage when absolutely necessary.

• Conduct a comprehensive capabilities assessment of USB devices
• Evaluate the CrowdStrike management solution for compatibility and effectiveness
• Design, test, and implement policies for secure USB device usage
• Align CrowdStrike security policies with Microsoft Data Protection guidelines
• Develop a streamlined process for USB provisioning
• Create a management process for tracking and maintaining USB device inventory
• Develop a support plan and produce knowledge articles for users
• Establish a process for managing policy exceptions
