Job Title: Director, Content Production, Dermatological Brands Department: L'Oreal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) Location: New York, NY Reports to: AVP of Advocacy & Influence, Dermatological BrandsJob Summary: The role of Director of the LDB Content Center is to manage the execution and delivery of all creative to support the needs of the brands in L'Oral LDB USA. L'Oreal USA is looking for a Content Director with strong design capabilities and understanding of digital channels to help bring the brands to life visually. This role will work collaboratively cross-functionally to deliver on-brand, high performing assets project managing the process from brief through to execution in partnership with internal and external agencies. Ability to produce high volume of assets efficiently, while reacting to trends and helping to continually evolve and elevate the brand's aesthetics are key. As we continue to grow our team, we are looking to deliver a high volume of digital content needs (Paid Media, Paid & Organic Social, cross funnel Digital Video, product & model imagery & visuals, etc.) across our L'Oral LDB portfolio. This contributor will work across various LDB Brands and deliver on a variety of key digital advertising and owned/e-commerce creative deliverables to collaborate with and support our brands. This role drives collaboration and influences multiple levels of leadership to execute on the following key deliverables:Key Job Accountabilities:
  • Content Strategy & Development: Develop and implement scalable content strategies, including creating playbooks and learning agendas. Identify key product video opportunities in collaboration with e-retail teams. Design content formats and storyboards.
  • Production Management & Execution: Manage all stages of video/photo production, from pre-production planning and on-set direction to post-production editing and optimization for various digital channels. Manage and organize digital assets effectively.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including e-retail, influencer marketing, and brand teams, to ensure alignment and achieve project goals. This involves creating briefs, conducting interviews, and managing feedback.
  • Technical Skills & Post-Production: Possess strong technical skills in video editing software, including color grading, audio adjustment, adding special effects, and incorporating music and transitions. Manage closed captioning and transcripts.
  • Innovation & Best Practices: Continuously research and implement new digital technologies, editing techniques, and industry best practices to elevate content quality and effectiveness.
  • Marketing & Brand Support: Develop content that directly supports brand objectives, increases market share, and improves consumer engagement and discoverability across various media platforms. Analyze data to inform content strategies and optimize performance.
  • Content Creation: Creating and Assessing aesthetic, compelling and engaging communication assets (written, audio, visual) that are channel/platform relevant, and compliant with accessibility and eco-design standards
  • Big idea creation: Transforming consumer insights into strong, impactful and memorable messages to be used as assets at global and local levels.
  • Brand Equity Communication: Understanding, describing and explaining the DNA and uniqueness of each brand of the portfolio
  • This individual will collaborate with these stakeholders to drive data driven programs and initiatives. They will work to support strategic brand objectives, launches, and activities; responsible for increasing consumer touchpoints, market share, discoverability & media performance.Job Requirements:
    • College Degree
    • 8-10 years of professional experience in a creative environment in a graphic design and digital asset development role for social / direct to consumer ecommerce strategies + campaigns - Beauty, CPG, or Medical brand a strong plus
    • Must have a portfolio demonstrating relevant experience
    • Passion for beauty, aesthetics and bringing a brand's vision to life
    • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of digital, visual storytelling, and marketing
    • Experience with onset art direction for both photo and video production, including artistry talent as well as the pre and post production requirements to bring content to life
    • Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Bridge.
    • Ability to influence design talent, including graphic designers and production designers to develop on brand assets
    • Mastery of industry and digital best practices coupled with a strong knowledge of platform/Industry/creative trends
    • Experience building client relationships and ability to help partners understand ideas, while being able to pivot thinking and adjust style when necessary.
    • Have a strong creative vision and understanding of brand(s) business needs and objectives, with ability to understand how brands come to life in different channels for full campaigns.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, under tight deadlines, with strong project and time management skills
    • Ability to multi-task & express strong prioritization skills while working on several brands daily
    • Excellent communication skills, strong organizational and teamwork skills
    Judgment and Decision Making: This role will require a balance of strong application skills of ideas to develop consumer knowledge and insight and to act on the data in collaboration with internal brand & external account partners. We are looking for a change agent that can naturally connect dots across the organization to capture strong results for the brand. This role requires constant interaction across a matrixed business structure to coordinate work and deliver objectives. As a result, this individual must effectively build networks and become the in-house expert on the brand's consumer mindset to help influence, convince, and introduce new ways of marketing. We are looking for a dynamic, creative leader and self-starter to build a vision for the brand.
