  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial & Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Technology)
    • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years in related facilities operations and 5 years in equivalent management responsibilities
  • Experience working with outside agencies (Federal, State, and Local County/Municipal) for permitting, site plan reviews and code compliance
  • Demonstrated Technical Knowledge within the following areas:
    • Facilities Project Engineering
    • Plant engineering
    • Machine repair and maintenance
    • Hydraulic maintenance
    • Electrical maintenance
    • Buildings and Grounds
    • Reliability engineering
  • Experience working in large, complex industrial sites with similar equipment types
  • Experience working within multiple facilities (industrial, manufacturing, office, and mixed-use)
  • Experience leading large capital projects and infrastructure upgrades
Moog's Military Aircraft Group is hiring for a Director - Facilities Operations. The Director - Facilities Operations reports to the VP, Manufacturing Technology and Strategy within Moog Military Aircraft Group.This position sits in East Aurora, NY and has a full-time on-site presence.The incumbent will be responsible for understanding strategic business objectives and be highly proficient in Facilities technical knowledge. They will be process minded, driven by continuous improvement, and a strong leader and communicator.Responsibilities:
  • Ability to inform, influence, and communicate site infrastructure strategy and plans
  • Demonstrate team leadership, business and technical analysis, and project management
  • Excellence in communication and collaboration at an Executive level, across Group and Functional leadership, within the Facilities team, and general or specific campus messages
  • Maintain availability, functionality, and value of grounds, buildings, and equipment that support site facilities, machining, and assembly and test
  • Policy and process development and implementation for functional excellence, workplace safety, contractor management, and environmental initiatives including Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity plans
  • Strategic guidance and oversight for service agreements, contracts management, and sourcing strategy including engagement with purchasing, legal, tax, real estate management, and finance stakeholders both internal and external to the company
  • Oversight and coordination of new facility construction, rearrangement of existing facilities, and manage new capital expenditures in each of these areas
  • Collect and prioritize the demand for footprint and services across multiple operating groups and corporate functions with a focus on growth across the businesses
  • Staffing, budget, and document management to requirements and strategic plans
Salary Range Transparency:Buffalo, NY $175,000.00-$210,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range DisclaimerThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
