Hybrid: This position will be required to be in the office 3-4 days per week.

About the role

As the Global Director of Workplace Operations, you'll lead the management and optimization of Cloudflare's global offices, creating innovative, productive, and safe environments for our employees that inspire connection. You'll drive operational strategy across all regions, ensuring our workplaces scale efficiently as we continue to grow. This is a high-impact role where you'll partner with cross-functional teams, manage a broadly distributed team, and influence the employee experience globally.

What you'll do
  • Lead Global Workplace Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive workplace operations strategy to support the company's growth, foster employee engagement, encourage experimentation and flexibility, and optimize space utilization across all locations worldwide.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and support the growth of a global team of workplace operations professionals.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day workplace operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and operational efficiency across regions.
  • Lead Industry Innovation: Leverage your deep industry connections to stay at the forefront of workplace trends and innovations.
  • Experimentation: Strategic planning and implementation of new workplace initiatives.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Build and manage strong relationships with service providers and vendors.
  • Space Planning and Utilization: Drive data-driven insights and decisions by monitoring and analyzing global office occupancy and utilization trends.
  • Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage the global workplace operations budget.
  • Workplace Technology Integration: Champion and lead the integration of workplace technology solutions.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure all global office locations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement sustainable workplace practices.
  • Emergency Management: Partner with the Global Physical Security team to develop and oversee emergency response plans.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with HR, IT, finance, Site Leads, and other teams to deliver seamless workplace services.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
  • 10+ years of tech industry experience in workplace operations, facilities management, and workplace experience leadership in a global hybrid environment.
  • Proven success mentoring & managing global teams and overseeing large-scale office operations.
  • Strong financial skills with experience managing large budgets.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in workplace operations.
Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $258,000 - $316,000.
