Director - Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) - Elanco Animal Health : Job Details

Champions HSE initiatives, fosters a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization, and provides direction on HSE requirements, objectives, and goals. This includes leading the onsite HSE and Occupational Health team. Maintains and improves the HSE management system, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and legal requirements. This includes identifying, assessing, and mitigating health risks (including biosafety). Serves as the primary point of contact for HSE regulators and authorities, representing the site in all HSE-related interactions. Conducts risk assessments, implements control measures, and oversees medical surveillance programs to minimize employee and third-party exposure to hazards (chemical, biological, radiological, etc.). Manages the annual HSE budget, participates in site leadership decision-making, and collaborates cross-functionally with other departments (QA/ QC, TS/ MS, Engineering, etc.) to achieve HSE goals.
