Key Responsibilities (including budget responsibilities and people management as applicable)

  • Collaborates with business leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to talent.
  • Serve as an HR business partner; own the strategic talent management plans and execution, with particular emphasis on the capabilities and talent needed to support Commercial Excellence, share growth, global OEM penetration, increased revenues and operating margins as well as transformational projects.
  • Key player in Strategic planning, contribute to BU Leadership team as a thought leader and business partner.
  • Work closely with leadership in the implementation of policies related to human resources, organizational and employee development at the business unit or region level across the organization and locations.
  • Influence and facilitate the process and project of organizational change and development, leading to improved organizational and individual performance.
  • Acts as a champion of workplace continuous improvement, including employee engagement and culture initiatives. Keeping management updated with the latest industry HR best practices and recommendations for implementation.
  • Execute global and local HR programs and processes (e.g., talent management, succession planning, talent development, development planning, compensation planning).
  • Provide business leaders with data, findings, and recommendations of client organizations' “health” by assessing trends in performance, span of control, employee engagement, manager feedback, attrition, and turnover, etc.
  • Collaborate with others (COEs, SS, cross-functional partners, HRBP peers, etc.) to build world class initiatives.

Operational Excellence:

  • Directly responsible for production processes, manufacturing engineering, inventory control, purchasing, distribution, and shipping/receiving activities of assigned manufacturing location(s).
  • Drive the creation and implementation of Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives which enable functional areas and site to meet or exceed plan. This includes process changes and other Lean initiatives, techniques and enhancements.
  • Participate in monthly meetings including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Financial Review, Quality Review, Safety Review.
  • Responsible for the conversion cost and material productivity for assigned location(s). Develops budgets or approve expenditures for supplies, materials, or human resources, ensuring that materials, labour, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Review processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments.
  • Coordinate with Supply and Production Planning colleagues and processes to ensure balanced supply and demand.

Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications (essential And Desirable)

Required:

  • At least 10 years of HR leadership experience with a track record of deploying high level HR strategies to support growth business.
  • Familiar with a fast-paced and matrix organization with proven abilities to be a coach and mentor.
  • High energy with a penchant for progress, willing to take a challenge and move the organization forward in a growth oriented environment with lean resources; can do attitude.
  • Skilled, culturally sensitive relationship builder to be able to engage people in a positive manner and invest time and energy into stakeholder management.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience with HR business systems and MS Office applications.
  • Experience in culture and engagement initiatives and solutions (i.e., Gallup, Kenexa, Top Employer, Best Places to Work).
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Listens, willing to understand the historical business model but also willing to think differently, ask provocative questions and develop business to one team, working together seamlessly.
  • Collaborates well within Americas, Industrial and SBD, learns who to go to and how to leverage resources to create progress.
