  • The Director District Branding is responsible for developing, leading, and implementing districtwide promotional campaigns. This position will develop the marketing strategy for the grassroots, choice schools, legacy schools and other key districtwide efforts to recapture, engage, and recruit student populations from diverse audiences, as well as promote the district's key initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Responsible for developing and deploying integrated marketing campaigns that include messaging for diverse populations, to improve public perception of the district, inform parents, and recruit, retain, and engage students.
  • Strategize, execute, and optimize a data driven marketing campaign that supports defined District goals.
  • Organize focus groups and set measurable benchmarks to progress monitor to determine campaign impact and implement course correction as needed.
  • Collaborate with school and neighborhood stakeholders to develop prescriptive and unique, year-round campaigns with target-specific messaging for each campus to better position and connect with their community and increase market share.
  • Work directly with district leadership to design long and short-term strategies to support School Leadership vertical teams' student recruitment.
  • Direct, train, and advise School Leadership workshops, creating tools and collateral for principals and executive directors to utilize, using best practices to develop student recruitment and strategies to promote their campuses.
  • Develop and manage a robust database of key stakeholders, internal and external, to serve as ambassadors for sharing district messaging, and provide training, strategic touch points, and collateral to share within their networks.
  • Promote the district's accomplishments, goals, positive news, and offerings throughout a variety of external communities.
  • Negotiate with external agencies to direct media buys and advertising for projects and campaigns for maximum impact with target audiences.
  • Ensure all assigned initiatives are completed timely and within established budgetary constraints.Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required.
    • 10+ years of professional experience in strategic communications required.
    • Professional experience copywriting for diverse communities to increase brand strength, recruit and retain students.
    • Experience creating/transcreating and managing external multicultural communications.
    • Experience with media buys, advertising campaigns and agency practices.
    • Excellent writing, speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Possess strong organizational, time management, and human relations skills working with audiences at multiple levels.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
    • Experience working with complex, diverse organizations.
    • Ability to keep pace with emerging trends and communication/marketing platforms with ability to think creatively.
