Director, Insurance Relationship Management - SLC Management
What is in it for you:
SLC Management is seeking a Director, Relationship Management to support the Global Insurance Group. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining and growing our business across the insurance channel, by providing an excellent client experience and building strong relationships with our clients. This role will have meaningful interaction with SLC's insurance business development and solutions team.
The primary focus of the role will be to independently lead client engagement. Additional components of the role include prospecting activities related to new business generation in the insurance channel as well as other insurance solutions and client facing activities. Some examples include:
What will you do:
* Pro-active and ongoing engagement with an assigned group of clients to understand their needs. Identify opportunities to extend client relationships over time.
* Act as the first point of contact for clients, exercising judgement in organizing timely / accurate responses and resolution of issues
* Serve as the voice of the client within the SLC organization, ensuring we put the client perspective at the center of everything we do
* Work with the rest of the team to onboard new clients and ensure client reporting is accurate and timely.
* Present at client meetings independently and alongside the PM and solutions team.
What do you need to succeed:
* 5-10 years of progressive investment industry experience
* 1-2 years of client relationship / account management experience
* CFA or CAIA designation would be an asset
* Knowledge of the institutional insurance channel/regulatory environment and investment strategies, particularly as it relates to public fixed income and alternative asset classes including private debt, real estate, & infrastructure
* Problem solving skills to resolve client queries / issues
* Communication - strong written and oral competency. Ability to synthesize complex topics into clear and concise language.
* Relationship building and situational influence - ability to build collaborative working relationships across stakeholder groups
* Strong research and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability and willingness to travel as regularly as required for client meetings
* FINRA Series 7 & 63 & 3 preferred or willingness to pass the exams upon hire;
