Position Overview We are seeking an experienced investigator and security professional to lead a new function at Stanley. This role will investigate incidents that impact the business and develop security programs to protect the company's employees and assets. The Director will report to the Vice President of Legal. This position is based in our Seattle office, and you will be required to be on-premise at least 2 days per week. It's an exciting and pivotal time at Stanley and there will be many opportunities for depth and breadth experience and to build and scale from the ground up. If you enjoy working on complex projects at a fast-paced, growing company, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Create and develop best practices to protect Stanley's assets. This may include: Creating customized security programs for confidential product launches. Identifying and implementing controls to reduce risk and mitigate fraud. Working with the Supply Chain team and the company's suppliers to develop programs to reduce theft and unauthorized disclosures of confidential information. Assessing the controls and security protocols of suppliers and other third party service providers. Investigate incidents at the request of the Vice President of Legal, which may include investigations that result in reports and referrals to law enforcement. Act as the primary liaison with law enforcement agencies. Manage outside investigators, including investigators in locations that produce counterfeit products. Coordinate with Customs and Border Protection and other agencies to identify and seize counterfeit products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct an enterprise risk assessment and develop crisis response plans. Assess and implement ways to improve perimeter security and reduce the potential for workplace risks and security. Assess and implement perimeter security in Stanley-managed test labs, factories, and other facilities, including third-party testing labs. Develop travel safety and security programs to support travel outside of the United States. Support ad hoc projects at the request of the Vice President of Legal. Who You Are Excellent verbal and written communicator, with the interpersonal skills required to effectively interface with key stakeholders, team members, business leaders, and employees at all levels within the company. Comfortable working with ambiguity, excel in a fast-paced environment and operate with a sense of urgency. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an outstanding ability to simplify concepts and to bring clarity in the face of ambiguity. A demonstrated leader who has previous experience building and creating new programs. Must have experience working with company executives. Strong record of leading teams and developing talent. Experience effectively managing investigators outside of the U.S. Excellent command of Excel to create budgets and manage third-party expenses.
