Deciphera Pharmaceuticals has a new role for a highly motivated, resourceful individual to join the New Product Planning (NPP) team. In this highly visible role as the Director, New Product Planning, you will collaborate across multiple functions and business units to implement best commercial new product planning practices, foster active communications, and inspire collaboration to ensure strong partnership, vested engagement, and alignment for the Deciphera portfolio. The successful candidate for this role must have in-depth experience across a variety of oncology therapeutic areas and geographies. This role reports into the Senior Director, New Product Planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multiple functions to construct the development, market entry, and integrated program strategies for 3 highly visible assets. Specifically:
- Provide commercial evaluation and strategic input for go-to-market strategic considerations for Vimseltinib (CSF1R) lifecycle management opportunities, including chronic GVHD.
- Refine the market entry indication strategy plan and provide inputs on the corresponding clinical development plan and lifecycle management opportunities for DCC-3084 (Pan-RAF).
- Fully develop the commercial landscape and indication prioritization recommendation for DCC-2812 (GCN2) in support of the clinical development plan.
- Work with IR/corporate communications to best construct the appropriate external messaging for all of these programs.
- Liaise extensively with internal and external experts to identify and assess potential opportunities and risks for each program and translate key insights from scientific experts into clear actionable strategies.
- Support development and execution of program strategy to maximize each asset's market potential, including lifecycle management and short, medium, and long-term commercialization plans.
- Synthesize and effectively communicate commercial insights and strategy for each program to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Lead the collection, synthesis, and communication of critical competitive intelligence insights for each program.
- Contribute to the global development planning, influence portfolio strategy development, and propose investments through cross-functional collaboration and presentations to senior leadership.
- Further enhance/refine the process, framework, and capabilities of the NPP function broadly to increase effectiveness for commercial/corporate strategic planning given our rapidly growing pipeline at DCPH.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in business, life sciences, or related discipline. Advanced degree strongly preferred (e.g., MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD).
- 12+ years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry including a minimum of:
- 3-5 years in new product planning, strategic planning, product launch leadership, or related roles.
- Strong scientific knowledge and clinical acumen; able to understand and translate science into commercial insights and strategic recommendations.
- Extensive experience with market research and competitive intelligence collection and communication methodologies and techniques.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to synthesize complex and extensive information/data to craft clear, actionable insights to drive long-term value for the Deciphera portfolio.
- Demonstrated ability to positively impact and influence cross-functional teams including senior leadership.
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and to prioritize for maximal impact. Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
