RWT Consulting Group's client is a major player in renewable energy, looking to bring on board a Director of O&M/Asset Management (solar assets).
Our client is seeking a Director of O&M/Asset Management to lead the strategic oversight and management of renewable energy assets. This role will ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and financial returns of our energy assets, while supporting growth in the renewable energy sector.
What you will do:
- Lead the oversight of a portfolio of renewable energy assets, ensuring optimal operational performance and financial returns.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize profitability, including revenue generation, cost control, and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and analyze asset performance metrics, ensuring alignment with operational goals and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and market risks associated with the asset portfolio.
- Manage and oversee Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts, and other agreements related to the assets.
- Work with the finance team to forecast revenue, monitor cash flows, and ensure compliance with budgets.
- Produce regular performance reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with teams across engineering, finance, legal, and operations to ensure the successful management of assets.
- Ensure all assets are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate standards.
- Mentor and lead a team of asset managers
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management, with at least 5 years in the renewable energy sector.
- Understanding of renewable energy technologies, including solar and energy storage. Familiarity with energy market structures, regulatory frameworks, and financial modeling.
- Proficient in analyzing performance metrics, conducting financial analyses, and utilizing asset management software tools.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
- CFA, PMP, or similar certifications are a plus.
