If so, apply today!DescriptionSewickley Academy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Advancement to lead all fundraising efforts. This key leadership role reports directly to the Head of School and plays a vital part in advancing the school's mission, values, and strategic goals. The Director will oversee a broad range of advancement activities, including annual giving, major and planned giving, capital and endowment campaigns, donor relations, alumni engagement, and more.Responsibilities:Lead all aspects of the school's advancement efforts, including identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors for the Annual Fund, major/planned gifts, and endowment support.Build the foundation for future capital campaigns, fostering alumni and community relationships.Partner with the Head of School, Board of Trustees, and Advancement staff to develop and implement a forward-looking strategy that aligns with the school's strategic plan.Manage and execute special events and programs that support fundraising initiatives and community engagement.Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to align strategies that support advancement goals and build a strong community connection.Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, foundations, alumni, and corporate sponsors.Present an annual development plan to the Board of Trustees, setting clear goals for fundraising and community involvement.Continuously evaluate fundraising methods and recommend improvements where necessary.Oversee donor recognition, stewardship programs, and the accurate processing of all gift income and donor records.Develop and implement strategies to enhance alumni and parental engagement in school support initiatives.Ensuring accurate and efficient collection, management, and strategic use of donor and alumni data to support advancement initiatives.Supervise the advancement team, including the Database Manager and staff members responsible for Alumni Relations, the SA Fund, and Special Events, providing guidance, resources, and support for staff development.Requirements:Bachelor's degree required.8+ years of professional advancement experience, preferably within independent schools or nonprofit organizations, with demonstrated success in donor relations and securing major gifts.5+ years of direct management experience.Proficiency in development software, with expertise in Raiser's Edge.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to foster productive relationships and lead a team.ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?All interested applicants applying for this position should submit their resume, cover letter, and salary requirements.
