Director of AI - Domify AI : Job Details

About Domify

Domify is seeking an experienced AI / ML engineer to become the new Director of AI for our startup, and help us build an enterprise AI platform in partnership with our clients, the founding engineers and management team.

Domify tackles the complex world of compliance and regulations in financial services, starting with wealth management. We leverages public and private data sources, proprietary workflows and compliance manuals, and the latest in Gen AI advancements to bring the power of AI to legal, compliance and regulatory oversight.

This role is a key hire for us as we build out our platform in partnership with lead clients. You will effectively act as our lead AI researcher, LLM scientist and AI application developer. You have hands on experience building and deploying Gen AI systems. You are well versed in the latest in LLM models, Generative AI architectural approaches (fine-tuning open source models, LLM orchestration and agentic workflows etc.), and data privacy and security to deliver an enterprise AI powered platform to market.

Location: NYC (in person only)

We expect the successful candidate to work from Domify's mid-town office NYC 3 days a week. Telecommuting, short NYC stays or relocation are not in consideration at this time.

Salary

Up to $180,000 + plus substantial equity, based on experience.

What you will do:

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• 5 years+ of AI / ML, including 2 years+ in generative AI
• Track record of working in enterprise FinTech, preferably in an AI / ML role
• Prior experience fine tuning LLMs, building RAGs, LLM orchestration, agentic workflows, addressing resourcing and performance issues, reasoning and observability
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (BSc/MSc)
• Hands-on experience with new product creation, ideally within startups.
• Domain expertise in financial services, wealth and investment management
