The Director of Alumni Engagement reports to and collaborates with the Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy and Engagement. The Director of Alumni Engagement leads the development, coordination, and evaluation of programs and projects to promote engagement. This professional collaborates with Louisiana Tech University Advancement colleagues, the Louisiana Tech University Alumni Association, as well as Louisiana Tech University faculty, staff to develop and implement an integrated engagement strategy that increases participation and leads to philanthropic and service opportunities. Performance metrics will be determined annually with the Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy and Engagement pursuant to the Division's annual engagement and fundraising goals and University's needs and priorities.

Louisiana Tech University Division of University Advancement is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as the Director of Alumni Engagement. The Director of Alumni Engagement reports to and collaborates with the Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy and Engagement. The Director of Alumni Engagement leads the development, coordination, and evaluation of programs and projects to promote engagement. This professional collaborates with Louisiana Tech University Advancement colleagues, the Louisiana Tech University Alumni Association, as well as Louisiana Tech University faculty, staff to develop and implement an integrated engagement strategy that increases participation and leads to philanthropic and service opportunities. Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree Required.

* Previous event planning, communications, and/or volunteer management experience preferred.

* Experience with cloud-based platforms preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Maintains division core values (Trust, Transparency, and Teamwork) and commitment to Tenets of Tech to advance the mission of and vision of the University.

* Provide strategic and tactical leadership for alumni engagement opportunities through in-person and virtual experiences, including Homecoming, regional and special events, collaborations with new and existing campus opportunities, and other events for alumni, friends, parents, volunteers, donors, and prospects when appropriate.

* Collaborate effectively with other members of the University Communications, Advancement Services, Alumni Engagement, Athletics, Development, and Stewardship teams as part of a comprehensive multi-channel marketing program and to develop and executed a broad-based engagement plan.

* Provide strategic leadership and execution for Louisiana Tech University Alumni Association and engagement content development emphasizing lead generating opportunities.

* Serve as primary staff liaison to the Alumni Association Board of Directors and chapter volunteers providing both leadership and support.

* Execute regular CareerMoves outreach to effectively cultivate relationships and generate leads for philanthropic and engagement opportunities. Emphasis on digital-first outreach via email, phone, social media, video conferencing, texting, EverTrue's cloud platform, and face-to-face interaction.

* Execute touchpoint cadences across career moves segments to ensure consistent and relevant communication through polite persistence.

* Demonstrate to audiences the impact of giving. Provide information on university developments and programs relative to their interests. Share upcoming opportunities to attend events, volunteer, participate in Alumni Association activities/services, or otherwise deepen their engagement with the University, and ultimately lead to service and giving.

* Build strong relationships with academic leadership, faculty, and staff across campus to creatively connect institutional needs and engagement opportunities.

* Work with confidential donor information, regularly and accurately document interactions in the prospect management system.

* Monitor and analyze data related to team-specific activity.

* Actively and continuously learn innovative practices and strategies of engagement.

* Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy and Engagement

Essential Functions

* Ability to develop, maintain, and grow interpersonal relationships including with university alumni, donors, friends, administrators, faculty students and staff.

* Demonstrated ability to comfortably articulate a strong and compelling case for support and solicit gifts.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to make effective presentations to large and small groups

* Exceptional goal orientation. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to use multiple cloud-based platforms simultaneously to gain information.

* Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and an ability to work effectively and professionally with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

* Intuitive ability to recognize opportunities, and apply creative and entrepreneurial thinking, while applying sound judgment and conducting oneself with integrity

* Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

* 9. Ability to effectively evaluate projects/programs and produce comprehensive reports.

* Understanding of and commitment to Louisiana Tech University's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

* Understanding of and commitment to ethics as described in the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethical Standards.

* Ability to travel to in-person meetings in various U.S. cities within the Region. Including independent travel by car to multiple locations for work that may be significant distances from one another.

* Frequent weekend or evening work is required
