Job Description :

Our client, a boutique commercial real estate firm based in South Austin, is seeking an experienced Director of Asset Management to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties in the Austin metro. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience managing commercial assets (office, industrial, mixed-use, retail, ETC) and will play a pivotal role in maximizing the performance of the portfolio. This position requires close coordination with the in-house property management team and a strong ability to drive operational efficiency and financial performance.

In this position, you will report directly to the Principal and have full autonomy of the platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize the value and performance of commercial assets within the portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with the in-house property management team to ensure alignment on asset goals, budget management, and tenant relations.
  • Analyze financial reports, market conditions, and asset performance to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
  • Oversee lease negotiations, capital improvement projects, and operational efficiencies to enhance asset value.
  • Manage investor and stakeholder relationships, providing regular updates on portfolio performance and key metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements across the portfolio.
  • Develop long-term capital plans, operating budgets, and forecasting models.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in asset management, specifically with commercial real estate assets.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with asset-level budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with property management teams to execute strategic plans.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Resourceful and proactive in problem-solving and decision-making.
