Description The Director of Publisher Development reports to the VP Business Development and Partnerships and is focused on leading key Publisher Development efforts at Minute Media. High quality video supply is the lifeblood of Minute Media. The Director of Publisher Development will help consolidate and solidify Minute Media's leadership in the OVP space. The Director of Publisher Development will help identify, target and close long term strategic and sustainable win/win partnerships for Minute Media. In this role, you will:
  • Drive new publisher business for Minute Media's online video platform, including all phases of the BD cycle which include researching, prospecting, pitching, negotiating ,and ultimately closing partnership deals with publishers throughout North America.
  • Develop a cohesive business development strategy and approach. Report on all direct business development activities.
  • Implement and improve on processes that grow the pipeline of opportunities.
  • Partner closely with the onboarding team to successfully bring new publishers into the fold and demonstrate the value of the relationship.
  • Work closely with multiple internal groups including marketing, legal, and technology teams to improve new publisher acquisition strategy.

The expected salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $155,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for performance-based compensation. The benefits available for this position may include flexible vacation policy, 15 paid holidays, paid parental leave, health insurance, and 401(k) with company match. Actual benefits are based on country of residence. This is a fully remote position with the option to work from our office locations. Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the business development space (bonus if your experience is within ad tech or online video working with publisher partners) with a track record of exceeding expectations and revenue goals.
  • You live and breath CRMs such as Salesforce to efficiently to track and manage your performance and use KPIs to continually improve results.
  • You're a strategic thinker and strong communicator capable of closing deals all the way up to the C-Level of major media organizations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic abilities - team player with a growth mindset and drive to win who can bring insights from across the Minute Media organization to align our technology with the needs of our partners.
  • You bring dedication and creativity which will allow you to navigate a complex BD cycle using a high-trust consultative sales approach. You will have a solid history of collaboration and succeeding in a team environment gathering all necessary internal resources
  • Able to travel as required
