As the Director of Business Development at Spartronics, you'll be at the forefront of finding and seizing new business opportunities, forging strong relationships, and leading the charge in driving significant revenue growth.What a Day Looks Like:
- Prospect & Hunt: Aggressively seek out new business opportunities and customers, with a focus on OEM Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients in the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device & Life Sciences, and Industrial sectors.
- Build Relationships: Establish and nurture connections with potential customers and referral sources, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads.
- Drive Deals: Engage with key decision-makers at the executive level to craft and close deals valued at $10M or more.
- Strategize & Execute: Develop and manage a qualified pipeline of sales opportunities, leveraging your deep industry knowledge and experience.
- Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align on business development strategies and ensure success.
RequirementsWhat You'll Need to Bring:
- Education: Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering preferred; or 7+ years of EMS Business Development Experience
- Experience: 7-10+ years in EMS industry business development, with a proven track record of closing high-value deals. Experience in selling EMS, PCBA, SMT, and full product integration is a must. Contract Manufacturing experience required.
- Skills: Advanced communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences and negotiate at the highest levels.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EMS-related certifications and ITAR compliance. A background in technical, engineering, or program management is a plus.
- Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel 30-40% of the time.
- Travel Required: You'll be on the move, with travel to our locations in Fairport, NY (corporate office); Williamsport, PA; Brooksville, FL; Plaistow, NH; Strongsville, OH; Watertown, SD; Logan, UT; and our manufacturing facility in Vietnam. Also, travel to customers should be expected.
- Residency: Must reside in the United States and be a US Citizen .
Compensation: Competitive base salary between $120,000 and $150,000, with additional commission opportunities.
