A Registered Investment Advisor with an impressive 20+ year track record of equity investments is currently looking to hire a Director of Business Development. The firm seeks to market both separately managed account investment advisory products and a private investment partnership. The Director of Business Development should have 10 - 15+ years of capital raising experience within the asset management industry targeting High Net Worth / Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, RIAs, Family Offices and Broker Dealers / Wirehouses. The role is a great opportunity to participate in the growth of the firm expected from ongoing marketing initiatives.

Description

As one of the key drivers of the firm's growth, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for raising assets under management, retaining and managing client relationships and developing ongoing marketing initiatives. The firm is currently looking to hire an experienced Business Development professional with a proven track record of raising capital from High Net Worth / Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, RIAs, Family Offices and Broker Dealers / Wirehouses and a transferable rolodex of potential investors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and execution of a business development / marketing strategy (including associated materials and presentations) to significantly grow the firm's assets under management.
  • Serve as the primary investment contact for all prospects and / or intermediaries.
  • Provide prospects, consultants, databases and / or intermediaries with ongoing updates regarding the firm's investment philosophy, process and performance of specific products.

Requirements

  • 10 - 15+ years of business development experience within the asset management industry with a proven track record of raising capital from High Net Worth / Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, RIAs, Family Offices and Broker Dealers / Wirehouses and a transferable rolodex of potential investors.
  • Ability to develop, tailor and execute a marketing strategy including associated pitches / presentations.
  • Strong existing investor relationships, both direct and through intermediaries.
  • Superior prospecting, lead generation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a consultative approach with investors / intermediaries throughout the capital raising process.
