Organization

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center (MWMC) is a 114-bed acute care hospital located in Springfield, OR servicing greater Lane County. MWMC is a Level III trauma center providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, robotic surgery, cardiology, wound center/hyperbaric medicine, women's and children's, diagnostic and rehabilitation services. MWMC is accredited by the Joint Commission.

Position

The Director is a key member of MWMC leadership and manages 16 FTEs in Case Management. They develop, implement and monitor operating plans with KPIs designed to ensure & improve resource utilization, quality of care, clinical documentation, patient experience, workflow and proper reimbursement for services. The Director establishes appropriate clinical standards and ensures compliance with current policies/procedures, applicable laws, regulatory requirements and codes of practice; evaluates and continuously improves skills of staff; provides effective education, training, direction and guidance to ensure compliance with established work standards and high-quality patient care. They coordinate Utilization Review through a centralized UR operation. The Director collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership, physicians, nurses and a variety of health system staff to ensure service expectations and programmatic goals are met. Reports to the CNO.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience

>Ability to embrace and promote the Mission and Values of McKenzie-Willamette M/C & Quorum Health Corp

>RN + BSN or related - required; Master's (MSN, MHA, MBA, MPH...) preferred

>Previous leadership success, managing Case Management in complex medical center environments

>Working knowledge of Healthcare Reimbursement and Hospital Operations

>Demonstrated skills & experience leading change and transforming CM operations for improved performance

>Ability to interpret & incorporate elements of Healthcare Reform, ensuring compliance & optimal outcomes

>Effective and proactive use of performance metrics

>Strong report writing and presentation skills

>Excellent interpersonal abilities, customer service skills and public relations savvy

>Motivating leadership style and success with diversified, multi-disciplinary personnel, including organized labor

>A sense of humor
