Responsibilities of the CSP Director:

Under the Direction of the Senior Director for Perioperative Services, will provide strategic oversight and centralization of policy and procedure for all Central Sterile Processing (CSP) department locations across the Health Systems. This role, through collaboration with all perioperative and ancillary stakeholders, is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sterilization, decontamination, and infection control are maintained. This position will collaborate with all departments and provider offices utilizing CSP services to ensure safe and efficient processing and logistics for all instrumentation that must be terminally sterilized or receive high level disinfection. This position will help to develop and manage the CSP budget at the local and system level leveraging system resources to be a good steward of the system's resources.

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Director:

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Experience with Central Processing leadership in a multi-site healthcare system.
• Experience in preparing for CMS or Joint Commission is preferred.
• CRCST or CBSPD required.
• In-depth knowledge of sterile processing standards, infection control practices and regulatory requirements.
