Role Profile

As a member of the market's senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper execution of the market's overall client expansion plan. You will be responsible for establishing and expanding relationships with buyers once transitioned from the market's field sales team. To be successful, you must be able to establish trust, confidence and partnership - for the purpose of identification and capture of new business and technical opportunities. You must also be proficient in understanding and documenting client expectations to ensure attainment, identify risks and develop/implement remediation plans. The position requires a specialization in delivery excellence & project leadership, to include but not limited to:

  • Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement risk.
  • Business Development: Working to build ongoing relationships through customer engagements through continued success. Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process as a “Farmer/Up Seller.”
  • Practice Development: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop “insightful” and “point- of-view” documents, case studies and deliverables.
  • People Development: Performing the role of mentor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide support for delivery teams and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand business objectives and operational readiness related to a client's needs
  • Translate a client's strategic direction and business objectives into holistic project plans
  • Partner with client executives to achieve client objectives
  • Proactively manage multiple commitments and tasks simultaneously
  • Design and deliver client deliverables based on client needs and expectations
  • Manage project schedule, scope, and risk across the entire digital transformation lifecycle
  • Execute work plans in the field and assist with the preparation of presentations and proposals.
  • Coordinate with technical resources in aligning deliverables to address human interaction with technical solutions
  • Actively align cross-functional stakeholders around objectives and measures of success
  • Proactively identify, mitigate and resolve issues that may adversely impact projects
  • Present updates and executive presentations to all organization levels ranging from C-Level executives to program leads to drive decisions and next steps
  • Work directly with mid-to-senior level clients to present ideas and recommendations
  • Facilitate meetings and participate in working sessions with clients
  • Analyze proposed changes and determine impacts on business processes and organizational design
  • Implement communication and training programs that prepare the organization for consumption of new digital business processes and incentivize adoption
  • Contribute to business development activities such as pre-sales client presentations, research, requests for proposal (RFPs), and responses to statements of work (SOWs)
  • Coach and develop Associate Management Consultants and Business Analysts

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years' experience managing client relationships in agency or professional services
  • Experience running full-service technology engagements and a solid understanding of the processes around them
  • Experience managing T&M budgets to align hours against an overall project scope
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft stack
  • Proven track record of strengthening and growing new and existing client relationships
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who is comfortable managing ambiguity and working in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

For Illinois, the expected salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $200,000. The salary range may be different if the successful employee is in a different state. This position is also eligible for performance bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
