Location: New Orleans, LA Summary The Director of Clinical Operations manages the clinical programs for the Center for Brain Health at Tulane University. Daily clinical operations include program development, implementation and integration, overall program scheduling, daily operational activities, and provider communication and training. This position provides specific support to the Medical Director, Director of Operation, Director of Research, and other Center for Sport staff. The position is responsible for aligning the Center for Sport's clinical program activities with the policies and procedures of the Center for Sport, Tulane School of Medicine and the University, and assuring compliance with those policies. The Director of Clinical Operations provides operational analysis needed for clinical management and strategic program decisions, assists with developing program analysis and recommendations, and supports the development of program reports. This position reports to the Medical Director and provides recommendations for clinical operations optimization (programmatic schedule changes, provider training and development, patient population profile). Although the duties of this position are primarily administrative, they may also include patient care and clinical responsibilities. The Director of Clinical Operations also provides essential communication and networking for effective functioning with internal departments and external organizations while representing the Center and Tulane University. Required Education and/or Experience A Master's degree and/or professional license in health care related fields such as nursing, human services, psychology, counseling, social work, public health, healthcare administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Three years experience at the management level, including direct responsibility for clinical operations and program scheduling. Experience in program development with an interdisciplinary model of care, including integrative medicine. Preferred Qualifications A Doctorate and/or licensed professional in health care related fields such as nursing, human services, psychology, counseling, social work, public health, healthcare administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Experience developing programmatic policies and procedures. Experience with clinical program development, implementation and management to include scheduling, data analysis, and staffing patterns. Experience with staff training and development. Experience in a clinical setting working with active duty military and/or veterans. Compensation Information This position is classified as exempt, salaried and is assigned to pay grade 27.
