Position Overview
The Director of Clinical Operations will oversee the clinical functions and operations of multiple ophthalmology practices across Texas. This leader will ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient care standards. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director will drive strategic growth initiatives and foster collaboration among clinical teams, aligning with the companys mission to deliver world-class eye care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations across multiple locations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clinical workflows, patient management, and compliance.
- Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs), including patient satisfaction, operational costs, and staff productivity.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and support clinical managers and staff, promoting a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
- Recruit, train, and retain top clinical talent to meet the companys growth demands.
- Facilitate communication between physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
Strategic Growth and Innovation:
- Collaborate with leadership to scale operations in response to market demands and acquisitions.
- Lead the integration of new clinics into the companys operational framework.
- Identify opportunities for technology and process improvements to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all clinics adhere to state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high clinical standards.
- Conduct regular audits and address areas of improvement.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets for clinical operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Partner with finance teams to monitor clinical profitability and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within ophthalmology, multi-site healthcare, or similar specialties.
- Proven ability to manage and scale operations in a fast-paced, growing healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures, equipment, and patient care standards.
