The Director of Communications & Public Relations will develop and lead Towne Park's internal and external communication strategies, playing a pivotal role in crafting messaging and strategies that promotes the company's brand, engages employees and aligns all team members around our mission, purpose, values and their roles, and enhances public perception. This role involves close collaboration with field operations, human resources, and senior leadership and other key functions to ensure alignment with organizational goals. As a technology-savvy leader, the Director will drive continuous improvement and challenge the status quo, ensuring communications remain effective and innovative. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing & Communications, this role is integral to the marketing and communications department.
Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The annual base pay range for this position is $160,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional Compensation: Employees may be eligible to receive annual incentive bonuses depending on their job classification and the policy guidelines.

Employees are provided company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance as well as short-term and long-term disability. Employees are also able to enroll in the company's 401k retirement savings plan.
Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 0.0385 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 80 hours per calendar year. Employees receive 6 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and employees accrue up to a maximum of 4 paid floating holidays per calendar year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Internal Communications & Content Development
* Ensure all communications align with and support our company vision, mission, purpose, values and strategy.
* Develop and lead internal communications and content creation strategies that foster employee engagement and build company culture.
* Partner closely with the operations and human resources team to align company initiatives and messaging to create clarity of action, outcome and impact.
* Oversees all internal communications channels including the companies' mobile communications app, Towne Link, optimizing user experience.
* Develops meaningful content for a variety of internal and external audiences leveraging communication strategies including business presentations, mobile communications platform, newsletters, employee meetings, social media, videos, and other new technologies and approaches to ensure we reach and connect with our diverse team.
* Engage with business leaders to develop key messaging, themes, topics, style, target audiences and appropriate communications channels.
* Develop communications strategies to support our DE&I and ESG efforts and programs.
* Support various internal and external events and company-wide meetings.
Organizational Communications & Change Management
* Partner with functional teams to communicate key operational information and resources effectively.
* Develop strategic communication plans to support organizational priorities and change management efforts.
* Assist in M&A communications and other organizational transformations.
Communications Channel Development, Management & Measurement
* Supports and champions our primary employee communications channel/app, Towne Link, to reach employees and drive engagement. Drive app user experience with effective communications and design to ensure ease of use and message delivery.
* Incorporate multimedia content to enhance communication efforts and track effectiveness through data analysis and feedback.
* Establish metrics to measure communication impact and continuously refine strategies based on results.
External Communications
* Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication platforms working in partnership with the Director of Marketing.
* Support external communications, including drafting press releases, managing media inquiries, and supporting crisis communications.
* Build and maintain relationships with industry trade media and enhance the company's thought leadership and brand recognition in the industries it serves.
* Lead the development and implementation of Towne Park's community involvement program to engage employees and build brand in communities we operate.
Organizational Collaboration
* Manage and prioritize strategic projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational objectives.
* Maintain quality control over all communications materials, providing consultation to leaders for consistent messaging.
* Develop standards and metrics to measure the success and impact of communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
* 10 years of experience in corporate communications or marketing, with 5-7 years in a corporate environment.
* Proven experience in managing projects, resources, and budgets effectively.
* Experience with change management and M&A communications is a plus.
* Previous experience communicating in a distributed or service-oriented organization is advantageous.
* Strong leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Creative skills for producing engaging content and adapting messaging for various formats and audiences.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Extensive experience in strategic communications, including change management and crisis communication.
* Exceptional writing, editing, and content creation skills across various media.
* Keen attention to detail, with a strong focus on grammar, consistency, and clarity.
* Energetic, positive attitude, service oriented with a self-starter mindset.
* Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences, including journalistic, conversational, and academic.
* Proficiency in digital and social media trends and platforms.
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Creative development experience and familiarity with communications technology are advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), SharePoint, and social media platforms.
SCOPE
Authority to Act:
