Director of Construction (Open to Relocation) - Metric Geo : Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee the construction of residential homes, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of construction managers, site supervisors, and trade partners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage construction budgets, ensuring projects are completed within budget and resources are utilized efficiently.
• Scheduling: Develop detailed construction schedules, monitor progress, and adjust timelines as necessary to ensure timely project delivery.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners. Negotiate contracts and monitor performance to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure construction work meets or exceeds company standards and complies with relevant building codes, laws, and regulations.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all construction sites are compliant with safety regulations and best practices. Lead efforts to maintain a safe work environment and reduce workplace accidents.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve construction-related issues promptly, whether they involve project delays, quality concerns, or team dynamics, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
• Reporting: Provide regular project updates to senior leadership, offering insights on timelines, budget, and overall project health.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve construction processes and practices to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in residential construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
