Job Summary
The Director of Corporate Catering Excellence is responsible for developing and maintaining the overall catering quality standards and guest experience. Primarily servicing our B&I accounts, this position ensures outstanding service and improved participation and check average year over year to maximize profits and efficiencies. The successful candidate is an independent contributor, who will rely on their strong influencing skills while encouraging strong interdepartmental relationships with Operational leaders, Culinary, Creative, Marketing, Technology and Project Management Teams.
This full-time role is based in R/As NYC Headquarters. This position requires on-site work daily in NYC and within the tri-state area. Up to 30% travel will be required.
The Director of Catering Operations ensures that food, service, and overall experience provided by each catering team is consistent across all locations. The Director of Catering Operations will develop and maintain relationships with Key stakeholders while supervising continued improvement progress, & keeping all collaborators advised the entire way.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Implement Strategies to Improve the Catering Key Drivers (Revenue & Efficiency Growth, Cost Control, Customer & Associate Satisfaction)
+ Develop and implement plans for catering programming and initiatives.
+ Lead creation of Training Plans and Program for Catering Managers including onboarding & continual leadership and skill development
+ Create Key performance indicators for Catering Benchmarks & build & further develop catering SOPs
+ Reviews Top catering locations, identify areas for optimization & elevation, constructing action plans for implementation
+ Recommends and implements standard methodologies and innovative initiatives across all business locations.
+ Collaborate with cross functional teams: Culinary Team on Annual Menu Updates, Seasonal Offerings and quarterly catering pop-ups, Visual & Style Team on Overall Catering Look & Standards, Marketing on Catering Promotions & Signage, Marketing & e15 on Client & Customer Feedback Tools - Focus Groups, Surveys and industry trends
+ Attend Panel Interviews for Senior Level Catering Positions
+ Prepare and host annual R/A Catering Workshop and catering showcase
+ Deliver quarterly catering update in Management Operations meetings, Quick Bites and company quarterly updates
+ Coordinate and lead monthly Catering Champion Calls
+ Conduct quarterly catering calls with all B&I catering managers to share & collaborate best-practices, and new catering programming & promotions
+ Update and Maintain Catering SharePoint Website
+ Support Corporate Project Management Team on New Account Openings and Refreshes when needed
+ Continuous updates of catering menu and photoshoot for sales presentations
Qualifications and Experience:
+ Bachelors Degree Education Level Minimum (Hospitality Management Degree Preferred
+ Minimum of 10 Years in the Catering / Events / Hospitality Management Industry
+ Communicate optimally to diverse audiences, for different purposes and in different situations within hospitality operations. Including clients and client presentations.
+ Systems Oriented and Process Driven
+ Outstanding attention to detail and presentation skills
+ Have Extensive Knowledge of MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), Google Docs Editors Suite (Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Forms)
