The Director of Development works in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to lead the organization's overall fundraising strategy, establish and achieve annual philanthropy goals in accordance with the organization's mission, and to ensure the organization's long-term sustainability. This individual will lead the creation
and execution of Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center's (ZCenter) annual development plan, including fundraising campaigns, special events, and planned giving initiatives. Other key responsibilities include marketing and community outreach.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually

Responsibilities
Fundraising and Development
- Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward both current and prospective donors.
- Develop the monthly donors campaign. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Ambassador of Strategic Relations, development staff and volunteers to assess the current status of the campaign and identify strategies to maintain and enhance its effectiveness.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute annual fundraising events.
- Support the Grant Manager with the preparation of funding proposals appropriate to the organizational fundraising goals.
- Support the Compliance Manager with adherence to grant requirements which may include, time and effort reporting, GATA compliance, state mandated service plans, statistical analysis and service projections/outcomes.
- Act as the staff liaison for the Fund Development Committee of the board of directors and the Associate Board. Participate in board meetings, requested by the Executive Director.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
- Leverage personal relationships through calls and visits to establish credibility of the organization's mission while articulating the need for financial support.
- Engage community donors and coordinate community based in-kind donation pick-ups and drop offs.
- Manage the donor database (Little Green Light) and infrastructure to effectively track donations, donor emails, queries, report building and assessing donor trends and analytics.
- Ensure proper accounting of gifts and coordinate timely acknowledgements.
Leadership & Management
- Work with the Executive Director and Director of Finance to set annual goals and establish major gift fundraising strategy, plan, timeline and metrics.
- Collaborate with the Director Team to build goals and strategies (events, campaigns, community outreach) in alignment with the 3 Year Strategic Plan.
- Participate in management decisions and use creative problem-solving skills to identify and address issues impacting the organizational performance.
- Provide leadership to the development team.
Communications & Community Engagement
- Assist with public relations efforts including managing website inquiries and press releases to promote ZCenter activities and programs. Maintain oversight of website and social media content as related to fund development.
- Work collaboratively with the Development and Outreach teams to raise awareness and recognition of ZCenter's programs through newsletters, email campaigns, social media posts, and podcast distribution.
- Identify and craft compelling success stories highlighting ZCenter as the source for survivors to heal and thrive for grantor presentations, community meetings, and digital media needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five years of experience in fundraising.
- Three years of management experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive fundraising programs, including experience managing Government grants.
- A collaborative team player with strong leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with diverse populations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, to analyze and solve complex problems, and to exercise sound judgment.
- Technical and creative writing skills.
- Ability to accept, understand, and relate sensitively to people of varied socio-economic, racial, cultural, and experiential backgrounds.
- Proficiency with Little Green Light or similar donor databases, preferred.
