COMPANY OVERVIEWHolcim is planning to spin-off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America's oversized growth in construction led by the modernization of infrastructure, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operation and the growth of resilient cities.

Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its operations headquarters in the US to be fully dedicated to serving the North American market and pursue a growth strategy across the region.

The newly listed company will become North America's leading building solutions company, with industry-leading market position to meet its customers' greatest ambitions with the most advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Digital Communications, Content, and Storytelling will lead the strategic direction and execution of the company's integrated communications across editorial, content marketing, digital channel management, social media and narrative campaigns that significantly enhance the company's brand and reputation. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this role will serve on the Communications Leadership Team and play a critical role in building the company's narrative, communications architecture, channel and content strategy to support the business and build the brand. The ideal candidate is a big picture, strategic thinker with a tactical capability to deliver and execute at pace and with high quality.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Lead Development of the Company's Narrative and Cross-Channel Storytelling Strategy: Shape and articulate the company's narrative and develop the company's cross-channel content and campaign strategy to build the company's reputation with key stakeholders including investors, customers, government leaders, employees, talent and more.
  • Enhance Brand Storytelling Across Digital Channels: Drive campaigns that elevate the company's storytelling efforts, highlighting successes, milestones, and impactful narratives across social media, the company website, e-mail marketing and other digital media.
  • Oversee Creation of Compelling Content: Develop and execute content plans and direct the creation of high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content that supports engagement and brand building, including web stories, case studies, video content, social media, project spotlights, customer highlights, content creator engagement, corporate reporting requirements and more.
  • Own and Shape the Company's Digital Ecosystem: Oversee the company's website, digital and social media strategy and execution, ensuring it effectively amplifies the brand story, achieves business objectives and engages key stakeholders.
  • Optimize Agency Support: Manage agency and vendor relationships in digital, social and content environments to supplement internal capability and deliver best-in-class communications.
  • Collaborate Across the Enterprise: Partner across the business, corporate functions and within communications to tell a one-company story that resonates across all stakeholders, while having the flexibility to be tailored for unique audience needs.
  • Innovate and Adapt: Stay ahead of industry trends and best-in-class strategies to inform and inspire content, digital and social strategies – including through leveraging new technology, platforms and trends.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degreeAdditional Education Preferred: Master's degreeField of Study Preferred: Marketing, Communications, PR and Advertising or related fieldRequired Work Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in communications, marketing, digital communications or related roles, with a proven track record of leading large-scale company narratives and reputation building.
  • In-house experience preferred within large US corporations.

Travel Requirements: Regular travel is required to support brand campaigns and collaborate with regional teams (up to 20%).

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ( PPE ), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
