POSITION TITLE: Director of Facilities and Operations REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month Administrative (Act 93) employee QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent area of study, preferred.
- Minimum of five years leadership and supervisory experience in facilities management, required.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and grounds operations, preferably in a public education system,preferred.
- Valid driver's license, required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Management of buildings, grounds, mechanical and custodial staff.
- Read and comprehend blue prints, schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Understand labor regulations, Material Safety, and public safety.
- Responsible for completion of district, state and federal reports as required.
- Monitor/Manage HVAC controls, security access control, and fire alarms.
- Management of district projects.
- Financial planning and fiscal management of district facilities and operations.
- Evaluate and implement improvements to efficiency and/or cost savings.
- Supervise district Safety Committee.
- Coordinate all safety related drills and trainings (Fire, ALICE, etc.).
- Establish and maintain relationships with staff, vendors, and contractors.
