REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This role reports to GPC's Finance Team and manages a team of ten

LOCATION: Corporate Headquarters, Atlanta, Georgia (In-office role)

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Facilities Management oversees all aspects of building services and operations for the company, ensuring smooth daily operations and alignment with GPC's strategic priorities – leading through change. This role includes managing vendor relationships, staffing facilities appropriately, and executing comprehensive facilities management programs.

Key responsibilities include ensuring facilities needs are proactively addressed, maintaining adherence to budgetary objectives, and implementing effective programs to optimize building operations. The Director plays a pivotal role in creating a well-functioning, hospitable environment that advances GPC's goals and vision as well as safety, security, and comfort for all GPC headquarters employees and guests. Additional responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide oversight of facilities staff and vendors on campus including, but not limited to, maintenance, space planning, security, and food services
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and coordinate with contractors to meet all building needs with minimal disruption to building operations
  • Directly oversee daily facility management operations such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building safety, landscaping, exterminating, etc.
  • Follow and track all contracts and service agreements. Manage work orders, invoices, and follow the correct approval process for all vendors, ensuring accurate billing to the appropriate department
  • Participate in budget planning and management, ensuring the effective allocation of resources to manage expenses accurately. Create relevant reports to monitor work orders, budgets, initiatives, and projects
  • Review all areas of facility operations for compliance with safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements, and maintain appropriate documentation for all audits
  • Ensure routine inspections of campus areas and meet with stakeholders and leaders to ensure the highest levels of facilities maintenance standards are met
  • PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    The successful candidate will bring a mindset of customer service, accuracy and compliance, always driving for process efficiencies and excellence. We seek a Director Facilities Management with 10+ years of experience managing large facilities or multiple buildings, experienced with electrical, HVAC, security, and grounds maintenance.

    This professional will bring five+ years of leadership experience with superior people skills, managing both internal staff and external vendors. We seek a candidate with strong technical knowledge in work order processes and systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Finally, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to define and communicate objectives, strong influencing and negotiation skills to effectively drive vendors and contractors to meet commitments.
