Job Description :

Our Story We're Anecdotes; a dynamic B-round startup founded in June 2020, who's revolutionizing the compliance automation landscape. At the heart of our mission is the belief that credible, visible, and actionable data should empower every GRC team's decision-making. Imagine a world where enterprises seamlessly collect and standardize data from hundreds of SaaS tools, cloud infrastructures, private networks, databases, and more. We bring that vision to life, providing continuous, real-time visibility into their security compliance posture. The Opportunity Anecdotes is seeking an experienced Director of Field Marketing to spearhead the strategy and execution of world-class integrated field marketing programs and events. This role will have a great deal of autonomy to develop a framework for repeatable execution of events and programs for driving qualified leads into our sales pipeline, supporting business growth, and exceeding Anecdotes' pipeline targets. This role will report to the Vice President of Marketing. While this is an individual contributor role to start, it will be highly collaborative and cross-functional, working with leaders and team members across the organization including Marketing, Sales, Partner, and Customer Success to meet and exceed objectives.

  • Develop field marketing events and programs consistent with sales goals and market segment messaging and priorities, including Anecdotes hosted events, industry conference, partner events, and Customer Advisory Board experiences.
  • Oversee the end-to-end event process, from strategic selection and investment proposals to planning, execution, and reporting/analysis.
  • Oversee all event logistics, including executive preparation, space allocation, vendor management, risk minimization, technology, staffing, swag, signage, exhibit properties, and ongoing communications.
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team to determine the best campaign plan to support events and other marketing activities.
  • Ensure all activities achieve standards, adhere to current messaging, and remain within branding guidelines.
  • Closely monitor KPIs and metrics to measure program effectiveness. Manage budgets effectively, ensure resources are allocated efficiently, and analyze data to optimize programs and demonstrate ROI.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, agencies, and strategic partners to enhance execution and maximize sponsorship opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of marketing and event experience for B2B SaaS companies
  • Experience in the GRC or Cyber Security industry a plus
  • Ability to multitask programs and projects with short timeframes. Competing priorities and ambiguity do not slow you down.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with the partner ecosystem and best practices in partner marketing and co-marketing
  • Deep understanding of event operations, agency management and industry standards for events targeting the enterprise segment
  • Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making as well as strong analytical skills to quantify impact on lead and pipeline generation activities.
  • Problem solver who can anticipate problems, know when to escalate, understand what tradeoffs should be made, and balance the needs of the business with delivering an experience that is valuable to the attendees
  • Detail oriented planner with strong project management skills and ability to manage timeline with many moving parts and stakeholders, who can prioritize effectively to drive execution, and with the ability to think on your feet to discover creative solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship building
  • Relentlessly high standards
  • Experience with MarTech systems such as Hubspot, Outreach, ZoomInfo
  • Ability to travel to events and activities (Approximately 25%, mostly in North America. Some international travel may be required.)
