Director of Financial OperationsLocations: Waterloo, IAEmployment Type: Full timeShift: Full timeDescription:Accountable for leading, guiding, and directing the Trinity Health ministry or enterprise functional responsibilities. Enable RHM level strategy to address internal or external business & regulatory issues; provide functional expertise and ensure fulfillment of performance and service standards. Responsible for consistent operating performance and achieving financial goals. Identifies, defines & solves complex problems that impact the management & direction of the business; collaborates with System Services Areas, Regions, and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations. Maintaining awareness of new industry developments and standards. Provides decision support, operations &/or optimization leadership focus.Responsible for monitoring the financial and capital resources assigned ministry(s).Reviews and completes detailed analyses in coordination with analytics teams to determine trends and ratio analysis, performance evaluation, and cash flow forecasting.Presents report findings, orally or in writing, to management and/or board committees/members upon request.Monitors operating revenue and expenses, supports cost control programs, and monitors budget variances for the department and the organization in coordination with analytics teams.Establishes standards and strategic initiatives which support organizational and patient care goals.Identifies need for and develops processes to ensure continual performance improvement and customer satisfaction.Supports Division VP of Finance Operations in performance management improvement effort that focuses on analyzing data on key Finance operating metrics, driving standard work, improving cycle times, and facilitating top quartile performance.Escalates concerning trends, variations, and key operational initiatives to ensure awareness and alignment with the Finance Operations team.Scope to include owned and managed CAHs affiliated with Des Moines and Davenport (4 owned CAHs, 1 owned rural demonstration hospital, 13 managed/affiliated CAHs).Our Commitment to Diversity and InclusionTrinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
