The FP&A Director leads the company's analytical finance functions, including formulating and driving the annual budget as well as near and long-term financial forecasting. This position is also responsible for creating automated and enhanced reporting focused on financial variances and operational KPIs, and providing insightful and actionable top and bottom-line analytics with an emphasis on creating enterprise value. The FP&A Director is broad-ranging and plays a key role within the finance organization with significant exposure to the executive team. This is a hands-on, in-depth analysis role intended to drive data-based decisions to enable growth while improving efficiency, productivity, and profitability across the organization. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities: Lead, support, develop, and coach the FP&A team while driving efficiency, process improvements, and impeccable quality standards. Manage the annual budgeting process, working cross-functionally to generate an annual plan that clearly identifies and quantifies the opportunities and risks that drive attainment. Lead the monthly financial forecasting process, partnering with Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain to create an insightful and actionable S&OP process that aligns demand and supply in both the short and long term. Develop and maintain a robust suite of internal reporting packages that allow the business to easily identify performance gaps, while providing proactive insights and supporting follow-up actions that drive improvement. Create models and conduct analysis that identify critical trends and variances, support strategic decision making, and create forward looking visibility. Answer key analytical questions to improve business and team performance; identify areas of opportunity with data-driven recommendations. Working with IT, establish and execute a vision for overall data reporting and analytics that encompasses data governance, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools to support rapid growth and profitability expansion. Promote a high performing culture focused on continuous improvement, delivering results, commitment to quality, and value creation. Assist with the preparation of materials for the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Directors, including financial presentations and reports. Assist with M&A activities as applicable, including financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration of financial reporting post-acquisition. Oversee quarterly re-pricing efforts based on updated inputs, ensuring accuracy and full cost absorption. Assist CFO and Executive Team with ad-hoc projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required, MBA highly preferred 12+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with a focus on advanced reporting and analytics within the manufacturing sector, and at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Technologically advanced, with extensive experience utilizing MS Excel (Pivots/VBA), SQL database extracts, and BI solutions, preferably MS Power BI. Experience working within private equity backed businesses and knowledge of debt covenant and quality of earnings reporting. Ability to synthesize large data sets into meaningful analytics and visualizations and provide recommendations and insights that drive change and improvement. Must be an entrepreneurial self-starter, with the ability to challenge the status quo and create a bias for action across an organization. Strong communication skills and a proven ability to develop business partnerships supported by rapport and trust with stakeholders of all levels. Team player with a collaborative approach, cooperative attitude, and ability to work across multiple departments. Strong planning and execution skills with demonstrated business, systems, and process improvement impact in previous roles. Energized by working in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and addressing urgent situations. Ability to travel 10-20% This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and oversees a team of three.
