The Director will develop new financial modeling tools and perform ongoing analysis to evaluate strategic initiatives and new business opportunities. The Director will provide direct oversight to the grant finance team and work collaboratively with the grant managers on all aspects of financial management for grant funding. The Director will partner with the CFO and leaders across the organization to design and implement upgraded, scalable accounting systems that support future organization growth and promote work efficiency. KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): Lead annual budget, forecasting and long-term planning activities for multiple entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient execution of the processes. Develop financial modeling tools and lead ongoing analysis to evaluate strategic initiatives and new business opportunities. Evaluate and recommend opportunities for process efficiencies across all areas of finance. Partner with CFO and organization leaders to design and implement upgraded, scalable accounting systems, financial reporting, and processes that support future organization growth and promote work efficiencies. Oversee grant finance team and all aspects of financial management for grant funding. Ensure accurate and timely submission of grant reporting for private and government grants in compliance with terms of funding agreements. Serve as subject matter expert for grant tracking functionality within new accounting system, including collaborating with grant management team to develop initial business requirements. Prepare training materials and lead training sessions on grant tracking functionality and reporting within the new system. Support CFO with monthly variance analysis and development of KPIs for assigned areas of responsibility. Support CFO with documentation of accounting policies and processes to strengthen internal control environment and meet grant contract and BGCA documentation requirements. Support CFO with year-end audit process and schedules. Partner with CFO on other projects and initiatives as necessary. Qualifications SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university. Advanced Degree Preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis or similar role, providing senior leadership with modeling tools and analysis for strategic decision making. Proven experience leading financial planning processes and analysis of actual results against plan. Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with creating and troubleshooting complex formulas and pivot tables. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders. Experience with accounting and financial planning systems, including experience with large-scale system implementation. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail. Ability to maintain effective and constructive communication and information exchange with CFO and co-workers with regard to daily work issues and challenges.
