About Our ClientThe Director of Strategic FP&A will work closely with the CEO/Founder to define and execute the financial vision for the company. This individual will lead the financial planning and analysis function, focusing on SaaS-specific metrics, fundraising activities, and strategic insights. The role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in SaaS business models and startup environments.Job Description
  • SaaS Financial Modeling:
    • Develop, maintain, and refine financial models to support long-term planning, valuation, and scenario analysis.
    • Build and oversee dynamic SaaS financial frameworks, including metrics such as MRR, ARR, churn rates, CAC, LTV, ARPU, and retention.
  • Strategic Planning and Reporting:
    • Analyze key SaaS metrics and provide actionable insights to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
    • Prepare financial reports and dashboards for the CEO, board, and investors, translating data into strategic recommendations.
  • Fundraising:
    • Collaborate with the CEO on capital-raising efforts, including preparing investor presentations, financial projections, and due diligence materials.
    • Lead the financial aspects of fundraising, ensuring alignment with investor expectations and industry benchmarks.
  • Operational and Strategic Insights:
    • Partner with cross-functional teams in marketing, sales, and product to evaluate growth initiatives and measure ROI.
    • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify opportunities for scaling efficiently and sustainability.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Manage cash flow projections and maintain financial visibility during periods of rapid growth.

  • Experience:
    • 5-15 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related field, with significant experience in early-stage SaaS or tech startups.
    • Proven expertise in SaaS financial modeling and a deep understanding of SaaS metrics and KPIs.
    • Direct experience in fundraising, working with founders and investors, and supporting capital-raising initiatives.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities; proficiency in Excel and FP&A tools.
    • Strong ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging C-level executives and investors.
