Director of HR - Human Resources - Health Care - Compass Healthcare Consulting and Placement : Job Details

Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced Director of Human Resources - HR for a Health Care Agency located in Valhalla, NY. Qualified candidates will have prior HR Director or HR Manager experience within the Health Care Industry setting. Will be an HR leader with Recruitment, Benefits Administration, HR Compliance, Employee Retention, New Hire On-boarding & orientation & Union negotiation experience within a health care environment.

Health Care Agency seeks experienced Director of Human Resources. Position is responsible for oversight of Employee Benefits Management, union and non-union salary and benefits negotiations, recruitment and interview process, hiring, on-boarding, counseling and compliance for employee files in accordance with HIPAA and DOH employment law requirements, working with Executive Directors regarding complaints and grievances. Must have strong Leadership, Management and Interpersonal Skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and Manage all Employee Benefits / Insurance Plans etc.
• Review and update all HR Policies and Procedures
• Interview and process new Employees for Human Resources Department
• Management of Administrative staff, oversight and Maintenance of employee files, reference checks and agency paper work requirements
• Oversee data entry of employee information into required Health Care registry
• Coordinate new-hire orientations, in-services and other employee meetings required
• Assist with recruitment and outreach for new staff
• Benefits, Wage Parity and contractual agreement experience for Union and Non-Union negotiations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience as an HR leader within a Health Care setting Human Resources is a must!!!
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field strongly preferred
• 4+ years' experience in Health Care setting with Human Resources
• Proficient in MS Office / Computer programs savvy
• Ability to manage time well, strong attention to detail with exceptional follow-up skills
• High level of integrity, good judgment, and discretion
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills
