Login NowDirector of Human ResourcesJob Code:2024-18288-013 County:Forrest City:Hattiesburg FT/PT Status:Regular Full Time Education:Bachelor's DegreeSummary: Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Director of Human Resources to operate as a vital member of PBMHR's Senior Management Team. The Director of Human Resources plays a key role at Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources by overseeing the HR Department which consists of six employees who assist the Director in carrying out the agency's various HR Department roles/responsibilities. The Director of Human Resouces reports directly to the Executive Director of PBMHR.The hours for this position are typically M-F, 8a-5p. Some afterhours responsibilities and overnight travel are required.For more than 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt. Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our eighteen-county service area includes Amite, Franklin, Forrest, Hancock, Harrison, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, Wayne Counties. Pine Belt Mental Healthcare is CARF Accredited and certified by the MS Department of Mental Health. The agency employs approximately 700 staff.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources preferred or related field required SHRM Certification preferred Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required Mastery/working knowledge of employment laws and other compliance issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work, ability to meet deadlines Ability to work and respond to others in accomplishing agency tasksResponsibilities:* Provide leadership and guidance by overseeing activities including talent recruitment, acquisition, and retainment; employee career development, staff credentialing and new employee orientation processes* Ensure compliance with all state, local and federal employment rules and regulations.* Coordinate/collaborate with other Senior Management team members to develop initiatives, policies and procedures to complement existing practices and help ensure consistency across the organization.* Administer compensation programs; facilitate the agency's performance evaluation processes.* Manage employee benefit and compensation plans, including claims resolution; Oversee/manage communication of benefits information to employees, NHSC application process, and open enrollment* Facilitate PBMHR's Environmental Management team* Receive and respond to employee relations issues in collaboration with supervisors and other Senior Management Team members and handle employee relations counseling (EAP). Facilitate agency progressive discipline procedures* Oversee Serious Incident Reporting processes* Manage the company FMLA and all workman's compensation claims. Conduct unemployment hearings* Collaborate with Corporate Compliance Officer and Senior Management Team to maintain CARF and MS DMH certification.
